Frequently asked questions.

We work with a wide range of diagnoses, but please know that we evaluate your child based on their current abilities and needs, not just their diagnosis. We do not let a diagnosis define their plan of care. That being said, we have experience working with conditions including, but not limited to, developmental delay, torticollis, hypotonia, gait and movement disorders, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, arthrogryposis, Down syndrome, DiGeorge syndrome, muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, Angelman syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, and various other genetic conditions, including deletions and duplications.

We specialize in children from birth to age 5, but there are no strict limitations. We’re happy to discuss your child’s needs and help you determine if we’re the right fit for them.
-
The earlier, the better! There is no age that’s too young— we’ve worked with children as young as 2-3 weeks old. The sooner we can intervene to promote developmentally appropriate movement patterns through neuroplasticity, the better the long-term outcomes for your child.
-
We are primarily a clinic-based practice, but we are committed to providing the best care for your child. In some cases, if time and scheduling permit, we may offer home-based services if it is in the best interest of your child. Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis, though please note that these openings are limited.
-
Therapy sessions typically range from 40 to 55 minutes, depending on your child’s tolerance level. As your child becomes more accustomed to therapy, they are generally able to tolerate the full session length.

We currently offer two options:
Insurance-Based Services: We are currently in-network with the following insurances:
Aetna
BCBS
Medicaid Direct
Amerihealth
Healthy Blue
Vaya Health
We are in the process of becoming in-network with Cigna, Medcost and other Medicaid Managed Care plans, including Partners and UHC Managed Care.
Cash-Based Therapy Services: Many families are already receiving therapy through insurance but feel that additional visits could further enhance their child’s progress or would like high-frequency, intensive therapy for short periods, especially during the crucial early childhood years or when nearing important milestones. However, insurance limitations often restrict the frequency of therapy, preventing families from obtaining the level of care they believe their child needs. Our goal is to fill this gap by offering cash-based physical therapy services, either ongoing or in bursts of high-frequency sessions, enabling families to continue their child’s therapy at another clinic while receiving additional services with us.
-
At this time, we do not offer specifically designed intensive therapy programs. Our goal is to collaborate with each family on a case-by-case basis to create the best plan of care for their child, tailored to the family’s goals, time, and scheduling needs. Through this approach, we aim to develop a plan that is ideally suited to each individual family we work with. Feel free to reach out to discuss how we can best serve you!
